After gaining qualifications as a Fitter and Turner in Wollongong NSW, Kevin travelled overseas to the UK where he worked with various companies, particularly in building industrial water treatment plants. Returning to Wollongong in 1979, he established his own Engineering business repairing hydraulic equipment and then expanding to service and repair the equipment for underground coal mines in both Wollongong and Lithgow NSW.
Selling the business in 1996, Kevin with his wife and daughter moved to the Sunshine Coast in QLD where he undertook a couple of property developments then joined a company servicing the waste water industry. After helping to design and oversee the manufacture and installation of a Magnesium Hydroxide Liquid batching plant for Unitywater, he left the company to focus on importing and selling various equipment from China. A chance meeting with Robert on a plane coming back from Hong Kong, has seen their association with a passion for soil remediation and CO₂ capture continue to this day with Australian Hardwood Charcoal Products.
